M.U.N Final

Committee: UNICEF

Country: United States

School: International

Topic: Education

Name: Emily Ventura

According to president Obama the U.S education system will increase by 20% by the year 2020. Education at this time the U.S will have the highest proportion of students graduating from college. In 2020 there were 76.6 million students enrolled in school from kindergarten through graduated school. The problem with education in the United States is that the government is not spending enough money on education. For example, in order to reach the average student going to colleges President Bush wanted to spend more money on “no child left behind”. President Bush wants to be known as the education president. President Bush made strict restrictions with the educational system throughout the United States. He orders all school districts to evaluate teachers on their performance. For example, teachers would have to go to teacher in services to better prepare their students in all core subjects.
American Educators, believe that there should be an equal opportunities to all students whether their African Americans or Hispanics. With “no child left behind” all students in the U.S should be better prepare in all academic courses. Because, certain people in our society do not agree with “No child left behind”. Most republicans do not agree with “no child left behind” because they have to pay teachers a higher salary.
President Obama administration has an ambitious and unified theory of action that propels the state education agency. The President Obama is challenging school districts to transform our education in America. For example, spending more money on math and science should better our students to compete with the global market. Our problems in education will take years with dedicated teachers and the government with special programs to help inner-city students. Education in the United States cannot be met by quick-fix solutions it will take decades. The United States mission is to help ensure greater opportunities for all Americans through the attainment of secondary and postsecondary education with genuine economic value. My solution to the American educational system is to better prepare teachers because the children of today are different. The students are different and should be taught with new structure and strategies to be successful throughout their school years.
